If questions or problems, then please reply.
I've just upgraded my software to DOF_ScanApp_18.104.22.1680 version and in Orthodontic Mode it automatically cuts out the base of the model whilst scanning. Is there a way how I can disable this feature. Can someone send a link please where I can download previous versions of ScanApp? Also would be nice to have documentation for the latest version.
Hey DMC, for Smart Optics Scanners there is a 12 month period for free scan Software updates. All updates after one year will be charged.
DoF is more than one year ?
Cant decide between SO Vinyl, DOF PUHD and Medit T500.
With the DOF scanner, you never pay for scan software updates. Updates are free, and typically prompted by the software. You can also manually download the software directly from DOF's website.
choose the middle for min 10 reasons you never regret UHD is for freaks and special cases
forget the first and last the other way is OPT
I don't think we did change about this in new version. But if you make "plate offset" to "Ignore(0)", ScanApp doesn't cut anything automatically. Please try this and give me the feedback.
Execute ScanApp Orthodontics --> close the camera window --> Start "settings" from tray icons --> Scan --> Solid model prep --> Set "Plate offset" to Ignore.
@Henry It fixed the problem. I'm not sure what has happened as I didn't know that this panel with settings even exists
I've got one more quick question - after I've completed scanning models of one patient and save them, is there a way to start scanning new patient without closing an re-opening ScanApp?
Good to hear that you solved the problem.
For your second question. Unfortunately it is not possible now. An exocad project must be coupled with a scan project. To couple two projects, we need to execute the scan software from the exocad dental db after setting all orders in db.
The function of scan button in dental db is only starting scan software newly. So we always have to start the scan software.
I also think this is not efficient but so far I have no idea to solve this.
@Henry Park are there any detailed manual for scan app? I'd like to understand what all the settings are. Also is it possible after changing some settings to restore them to default values?
I just want to rotate my stl files by 180 degrees when exporting, so I don't need to rotate them manually in maestro software.
