Haven't tried that one. We uave onr that attaches to iPad (not mine, i hate Apple)
It works ok, but I haven't had a lot of time to experiment with it.

Software DL was free, camera/sensor was around $500

all a question of resolution 0.1 or less i think , print some transfer jigs too and glue some matching points on mix both and your king Scotty !! this is the real mass market not dental only but your new Chinese friends friends have done to expense for now maybe they change 2.5 bucks not more for now around double with their hand scanners maybe they need me as consultant Lol.
or additional function on DS EX with a handle and free scan option each praxis would buy one thats what Robert Palmer called double fun. impression . model and face scan in one peace.

Just need longer cables for the scan-head of the cheap DS-EX

Now it is hand held device.

The only down side I see from ZZ and DOF this one do not have bite fork with targets to align the jaw scans to the face scan data. How you going align FU/FL?

build your own bite fork in any printer or use a standard fork soft wax ( yellow) on both sides for comfort and a good fixed add on part in the front(black) for alignment done

The alignment bite device is not a major issue to develop.
    Half a days work

I am buying a developer kit for the Bellus3d scanner.

A friend in Brazil that use to work with us will attempt to make Dental user interface software. He is a software engineer and play with electronics.

We will design a similar scan target to capture maxillary arch mesh in relation to face scan mesh.

exocad will import and align based on position of target.

    Sounds easy enough?

    Why not?

@ Scotty if the shit arrives i have a few ideas to make it maybe more simple maybe without fork just a few simple operations depends on the results of a few compared scans.

    OK, We have it!
    It is cool!!

I find this guy try with rubber band strapped to patient head.
I think it is not necessary to have such a thing.

and also our old friend JM Bert??? from France try.
No innovative idea, just manual alignment of mesh.
Added my website name to copy me. nice! (douche)

    The Bellus...

You stand or sit in a chair that spin.

Face camera for initial forward facing shot.

Then software ask to slow spin to left, then right.

Done. Not necessary for person to walk around moving cameras.

It used infra-red projector and cameras for the 3d data!

    Pretty cool.

We will try to develop for use with Windows based OS so you can use with exocad on same PC.

It is kinda shit software interface that needs to be developed.

Chinese craziness software that makes no sense to me.

Frustrating to even figure out how to access your scan data!

Object needs to have Two eyes.

Cannot scan your dick. :( Unless you draw Two eyes on your stomach. :D

We draw eyes on a bottle and Bellus3d will detect a face and scan that.

The end result is good actually. Nice resolution and color.

Just needs major development! It can and does work with Windows PC!
But, not for normal customers. Only Software Developers.

If you have glasses on, then software smash them to surface of your face.
