Hello, i have this old Cercon brain expert milling machine. I finally found some use for it and i am very curious, if anyone knows how to calibrate the machine? I read the instruction but it says call the degudent technician for calibration, which obviously gonna cost too much money for this old machine. I have hands i think i could do it myself just wonderin if anyone experienced it? Thanks for answers!

Do you have old calibration files?

That is a solid machine and probably runs fine

I tried the machine yesterday and it surpassed my expectations. It milled a very nice tooth! Trully works fine. I don't have a slightest idea how this machine is calibrated and there are no old calibration files thats the problem. Some guy was at the workplace who calibrated the machine while ago my boss will try to give him a call and ask if he has the old calibration files!

    It is strong frame
    It will not need calibration

Hello, I have same machine I am very satisfied with this machine. It has 8 years old but works very good and precise. It has linear drive axis and 800W spindle. Is strong machine. Unfortunatelly, it is closed system about consumable material. You must used only Cercon but it is very nice zirkon. XT is very natural with 49percent transluscenty. I have info that after IDS they will start to sell multilayer zircon. Mazve what type of software do you use?

    HELLO!!
We have 2 of these milling machines here too, we don't like the fact of the close system. we were using Cercon HT, but shade was not in our standard.
if these could be open they could be a great milling machines, they're made to last forever,..
