cnc to cut aliganer

    is anyone here using cnc machine to cut
    aligner?
    how can i cut the plastic with automatic machine?
    i don't mind to load every aliganer to the
    cnc.
    i only want it to cut them fast and smooth.

    aligner ?? or you mean splints !!

    aligner made of duran or zendura.

    use knife and scalpell cnc is BS who told you ?? you dont know much about cnc ??!! where is your zero point of each modell where to cut who programms it for each model ??? stupid idea maybe you can programm a robot with a cuting disk whos camera guided and executed good look .

    if it might that easy yes but you need zero point for each model and mill path looks simple but it isnt cost more time than you save

    I think a human need to draw a CAD curve to define this cut.

    That will take a little time. Then you need to load model into CNC machine and use expensive spindle-probe to find the center of your part, and match this coordinate with your CAM

    Finally you can cut.

    I think this is only going to benefit very large production centers with robot loading and automation.

    Like the big companies such as Invisalign.


    This is not a good solution for small operation business. Cut by hand probably cheaper solution.
