If you use any of the products listed in post #3 you will not need to etch.

I'm leaning towards etching and z-prime zr, easier to sell the idea to the clients.

Hi Cadfan, I just got the acid and I'm ready for test trial. How long would you recommend to leave acid on zr for proper etching?
    Thank you

If you are going to etch for the doc, please tell them that before they cement they need to clean the intaglio surface and dry it. If not everything you are doing for them is a waste of time. I quit etching anything years ago because it was my fault that the cement didn't stick to the crown. Attention to protocol is very important, and a lot of docs are too busy to follow them.

I will use it as the last option for a very few clients who I know will be careful bonding these units.
I'll be adding Z-Prime plus for extra protection on my side.
    thank you
