I wouldn't count on that being widely available for all exocad users. That is a branded version specifically for Nobel.
None of their other software has been open.

I'm having some issues with model creator.

I've started using an xml file that will automatically create. a hollow (no removable die) with the gingiva ditched out around the prep, opposing model, and a single die
When I'm finalising my models on model creator, it will come out with the crown prep completely flat (see file)

Its supposed to look like this. (see 2nd file)

Any ideas why this is happening?

forked-up mesh.png Can we see the raw-scan stl file??

After deleting the flat skin...I see weird stuff man.

    Here is a little tunnel.

Is margin being extruded correct Z?

Up or Down from where you mark?

The Yellow line is where you mark your margin?

Here is your die.....and yes! It is ditched.

Your original scan data must be jacked-up and twisted mesh.
exocad did not have success to make removable die.
    There is bad artifacts left.

You say you did not want removable die....but it is there anyways!

Both files have same base model and One file has the die included.

You need better XML solution, but for this case you need a better raw-scan.

I can fix it if you upload it...then try again!

WOW! I just noticed that tunnel as you pointed it out to me. I have no idea what that is.
The prep is supra gingiva in that tunnel area.

I don't know what extruded correct Z means. I am only very new to Exocad and am trying to learn and understand as much as I can about this awesome program.

I need a single die but I also want to have a solid check printed model with the ditch (margins exposed).

I found a way around my " flat no prep" model to have the prep show and also have the ditch included after playing around a little bit but would like to have this all automatic within model creator

Nothing really strange in the raw scan actually.

Just a very unusual prep and geometry that is not so friendly for model-creator?

Yeh maybe because of the extreme supra gingiva margin? There is no gingiva to ditch?

Thanks for your help DMC. Always appreciated.

Here is what I came up with using model creator selecting plate less model with extra dies.

    solid with prep.png

    A few weird intersections??

Here is the extra die. Looks clean

    solid no prep.png
Solid model base. I think the reason this looks the way it does is because the model you selected isn't official exocad model option yet. That was posted on FB for some people to try sort of in a beta version. Maybe this will be added in next version as official option.

Have you tried printing to see what you get? I am guessing that you will have solid model with die and extra die.

Could have very unexpected results from that mesh via 3d-printing!

    Too many flaws perhaps?

    gnarled meat.png

Since there is no cord or any other form of soft tissue management on this IO scan the mesh is going to be
sketchy in the areas with the gnarled up meat. Marking the margins and then using expert mode it may be possible
to smooth this area up and make it easier for M.C. to do it's thing??

Orienting the mesh in the bounding box so there is a better path of draw for the die helps in most cases, but in this example you would end up with a really wonky model.

Model creator is awesome for a lot of things, but we are asking a bit much in the miracle department here.

That is exactly what I got when using MC.

I haven't printed the models out yet.

C'est aussi pour ça qu'on a pas choisi ZZ , je me demande également si l'implant editor runs well with ZZ ?
    Hein ? not bien ?

Hello EveryOne. I'm trying to create a model with a plate base with a specific shape in the exocad Model creator module (I need it to looks like the cast models that we use here). However the library that comes with the module doesn't include something similar to my needs. I found a document that describe how to create a library to use in the model creator. but I am a little confused because I dont know very well this tipe of archive and configurations documents so I hope you can help me out here with some guide to make this tipe of models.

this is the model shape that I will need to print in my job all the time so it will be very inefficient make it manually for each model

And this is the document that explain how to create a library for de model creator module

I really appreciate your help and coments
