    DMC hello

    Square grippers....
4th/5th turned sideways and held to table by a custom bar we made.
One of a kind mill. We have drawn it in CAD to have simulations correct in CAM.
    All in-house.
Been shredding Titanium for years now and no cleaning or servicing the mill except for a $50 belt.
    Welcome to my forum Uranus!
    I am Scotty.

    DMC hello

First square gripper design that we trashed.

    Too much vibration and harmonics.

It worked, but tool-life could have been I changed the design to the pic above.

Also, you can see my old Renishaw touch-probe that I also trashed to move up to laser measurement with non-contact. DSC_1200.JPG

Does that software have onboard diagnostics to troubleshoot problems?
  4. DMC

    DMC hello

"Service screen" to show all digital inputs and outputs.
status of all switches and sensors.....status of spindle.
Spindle controller is from NSK and integrated to CNC controller.

Need a human to make sense of the data....but it is all there to see!
teamviewer pre-installed on all CNC mills for fast and easy remote diagnostics

I cannot devote 100% time to this.

This project is for fun.....maybe profit?

It is windows based or Linux for the underlying operating system. I must admit I would love to see more detail of the electrical system awesome cutting ability.
