Good morning everyone, wishing you all a Great 2019 first of all.
We just got our new 52D and MillBox installed last Thursday, and we would like to further get some questions answered since our dealer was not sure about it and until they come back with an answer I would like to find your opinion here.

    Question #1:

What does the option " Socavados Externos" mean? I got the spanish version for Millbox sorry :-/
I have attached a picture for this.

Thank you :) and more questions to follow next year.

PS. no manual was ever found on google.

Good evening and happy new year mate

It has to do with the milling of undercuts and the way that you want the software to treat them.

Thanks Denticious, got it. So I guess I would be ok if I leave the box unchecked?

but why would I want to mill an undercut if it has already been blocked out in exocad?

It is external undercut and this exocad does not block.

So it would be used in situations to completely mill the lingual side of upper anteriors as an example.
I'll mill some samples this week with the box checked and unchecked to find out the differences.
    Thank you

I use it only on long bridges, where I see large areas that are light gray (undercuts). When there are none or very little gray areas, I dont use it at all.

    Ok here is Q#2:
How different or similar are the MillBox default strategies from other dealers? let's say CAP/HS
Can I use the same tools for for either one or I need to set them up in tool management?
    Thanks

Q#3 Why the spaces are not saved until finished calculation? We can't calculate on same disc more than one job at a time.

Using other tools is only at your own risk. In modern strategies, dealers use tool archive in which geometry of the tools is drawn. Some dealers still use the old method, in which geometry of the tools is drawn in strategy.
Therefore, I will not be able to answer you immediately. You need an experienced person to check what you have installed.

I had the opportunity to meet Luigi Fanin at the last Chicago show, and as I explained to him my issues, he was ready to help me fine tune my millbox software saving me a lot of time and money.
I would like to publicly express my gratitude to Luigi as well as Ryan from Cim Systems USA, and Michael for a great update on Millbox conference.

Hey guys, we have got Roland 52d whose cam software is millbox; but we have a critical problem with it, because the milling of one simple core takes more than 19 minute, it use the tool with 0.6 dimeter for all surface of core, it does not have any strategy without Tool 0.6 any body can help me to make increase the speed of milling?
