    Hi,

    Does anybody know where to change the settings to get a different ASC angulation shape?

    Apparently exocad is able to do 4 different kind of angulations.... which can be changed in the settings.

    This picture is the standard shape below.

    Thanks

    Never tried it, but have you right clicked on the design when adding the angled channel? Maybe an option in the tool menu when in expert mode and right clicking.

    Hi, yes thank you for the answer
    For this specific library I used the 25 degree angulation, and it made the screw hole twice the diameter as it is for straight screw channels.
    And by increasing the screw hole I can almost reach the screw with a straight screw driver (from point A). And hardly any material left on the facial to mask the big hole...

    Different types of the screwchannel shapes can be set in defaultparameters.xml in the bin folder of the CADApp. There must be something called like angulated screwchanneltype or something.
    If you change the number which is set you change the shape of the edge of the channel.

    To force the angulation and define limits by your own there are also 2 xml tags for your default-/settings.xml
    One allows you to force the angulation one to define a max. for the angle.

    In default parameters we can set the shapes with changing these tag with it`s defaultvalue 0 to 1,2,3
    <Parameter>
    <Type>AngulatedScrewChannelType</Type>
    <Value>0</Value>
    </Parameter>

    to force the angulation you edit your default-/settings.xml and paste the following in.

    <ImplantLibraryAllowScrewChannelAngles>true</ImplantLibraryAllowScrewChannelAngles>
    <ImplantLibraryAllowScrewChannelAnglesByUserDefault>true</ImplantLibraryAllowScrewChannelAnglesByUserDefault>
    <ImplantLibraryAllowScrewChannelAnglesByUserDefaultMaxAngle>25</ImplantLibraryAllowScrewChannelAnglesByUserDefaultMaxAngle>

    exocad-angulatedScrewChannelDesigns.png Spoke with exo this morning. This is their response:

    There are 4 different types of screw channel angulation.

    You can add the following tag to (default-)settings.xml
    <AngulatedScrewChannelTypeOverrideConstructionParam>X</AngulatedScrewChannelTypeOverrideConstructionParam>
    X=1,2,3,4 (See attached image)
    1=default

    This is their attached image of the different angled screw channels.

    does it matter where i paste it in DentalDB/config/defaultsettings-db.xml? Or anywhere between the <ApplicationSettingsDB>s?

    You will be adding the tag in the defaultsettings.xml of the DentalCADApp, not the dentalDB. My filepath looks like this
    C:\exocad-DentalCAD-64Bit-2018-03-21\DentalCADApp\config\defaultsettings.xml

    You can add the tag anywhere in the middle chunk where all the lines of text line up.
