Well, we got trained for selling exoplan last week.

Ready to sell. (After signing away your life and other forms submitted)

It may take a while for the library to fill up with what you guys need?

    Taking orders now.

I saw that they are showing it in Chicago...in Spanish. I guess it will be covered in the Exocad overview in the morning. Ball park on cost?

We will be less than suggested retail cost.

Does anybody have the list of supported implants for Exoplan? I asked this q to Daniel at the conference, but he doesn't have it.

more added as time goes on.

Of course most major implant systems will eventually be included, even if it means by 3rd party.

Been playing around with exoplan to get familiar with the tools and views in the software. This is my first real case.
This is so much more advanced than anything else on the market that I have tried. Tip of the hat to the Germans
for making planning software a little more user friendly.

Will just take a little time to get familiar with the threshold settings, but so far I really like the 3d renderings compared to the other software I have used.

With the library I am using it not only shows the guide sleeve, but also the key/spoon used for the drill. This will be helpful when there is limited interdental space to avoid a collision between the key and the adjacent teeth. In other software it really isn't noticeable until the guide is printed, fit on the model and the key tried in or maybe not until the patient is in the surgery.

Really easy now to start with a digital work up and plan the implants....

Imagine that, the implant is placed underneath the planned restoration instead of the surgeon guessing where a fully functional crown will best fit the patient.

Panoramic x-ray view of the proposed placement. The graphics are way clearer than any other software I have regularly used.

I'll post more as I get familiar with the software and can be more helpful answering questions about it.

Rendered sx guide. Inspection windows added and the patient's name debossed on the facial surface.
Quick and easy guide design. Similar to designing bite splint or gingival design on wax up.

It would be nice after designing the sx guide if exoplan had the option in the wizard or expert mode to design the model if the user has Model Creator. Maybe this can be configured?

Imported guide into Model Creator to assist in editing the jaw scan to minimize printing material.

Hollow model and guide ready for printing and delivery to the surgeon.

Looking at your task bar, how many versions of Exocad are you running?

I keep some of the older versions around for a while. One is Valletta, one is a demo version for experimenting with ideas in some of the modules I don't have active on my dongle and one is a RC of Matera.
I haven't installed and set up official version of Matera yet. Lots of things going on here.

  16. hello. looking to the implant list and it seems pretty empty. I am a megagen user. Is there any way of importing implant models from outside exoplan? Also is there a way to add some guide tubes from other manufacturers or at least define the cylinder so they can fit?

Implant libraries will need to be made with exocad's implant editor for exoplan.
No way to add guide tubes or modify existing libraries with out it.
I have asked for the software and been denied. Germany says they will keep it internal for now.
If you need a specific library you will need to contact the manufacturer. (Any one who has done this knows that it is a dead end.)
Information from exocadUSA support regarding exoplan has been terse at best.

Nt Trading and one other company(can't remember) have some after market guide tubes available in some of the implant libraries.

I'm calling Arressa in the morning to see if I can get the demo module for it.
